I was able to research and unover information on the Pope family. Barbara Cole also known as Barbara Williams, was the child of an enslaved women at Mt. Vernon named Sal Twine and an unkown British soldier. Barbara was enslavedat the Tudor Place, she gave birth to twins but only one survived, Hannah Pope. Hannah Pope's biological father is believed to have been either Thomas Peter or his brother.
