John Luckett was born in 1841 in Middleburg, Loundon County, VA. Luckett is an African American who was linked to the Tudor Place during the 1800s. He was hired as a gardener and was known for his hard work ethics. He choose to live with his family rather than on the Tudor Place estate, as a family man and skilled worker he was admired by many individuals.
